Gather the family’s Christmas photos and watch them together

On the evening of the 25th, there are photos of the tree, the dinner and the children opening their presents in the whole family’s phones. The grandparents will only see three of them, posted in a group chat. Here is how to gather everything and watch it together.

One album for the holidays

Create the album on Christmas Eve, or the day after: it erases itself 3 days after it was created, which leaves time to send everything, watch together and download your favourites before going back to work. Send the link to the family group.

Everyone adds their photos

Each member sends their photos from their phone with their QR code, iPhone or Android, in original quality. This needs a free account, by email or Google, with no password.
The grandparents have nothing to create to watch: they open the link and come into the album.
The “Album ready” page shows who has not sent anything yet, so you can nudge the cousin who has all the dinner photos.

On the living-room TV

While the family is still together, open the album on the TV and switch to TV mode: the photo fills the screen, and the upload QR stays in a corner for anyone who wants to add theirs. The slideshow plays them by itself during dessert.

Those celebrating elsewhere

The uncle abroad or the sister spending Christmas with her in-laws open the same link from home: the photo changes for everyone at the same time, with everyone’s cursor, and the built-in voice call lets you comment together.

Keep the best ones

Before the album erases itself, everyone downloads what they want, as a single ZIP file in original quality. The recap makes a short vertical film with music from the best photos, to send to the whole family: the guide is in make a souvenir video with music.
