Privacy
What Kliche does with your photos and your data.
Draft, to be reviewed. This page describes how the site works today. It must be reviewed before the public beta; items in brackets are still to be filled in. The French version prevails.
In short
- Only the photos you choose are sent. Your originals stay on your phone.
- GPS position, camera details and other metadata are removed from the copies that are sent. For album filters, only the date the photo was taken and an approximate city name (rounded coordinates) are kept separately.
- An album and its photos are erased 3 days after it is created. The creator can delete it earlier.
- No advertising, no data resale, no advertising trackers.
Who is responsible
[Publisher name and address to be completed]. Contact: [contact email to be completed].
Data used
- Account: email address (sign-in link) or Google account, and the name you choose. It is used to create an album, send photos and interact.
- Visitors without an account: an anonymous technical session lets people watch an album whose link they received.
- Albums: title, members and their role, photos sent and their order, the photo shown to everyone.
- During a session: cursor positions, reactions and drawings are sent live to the other members; brush strokes are kept with the album.
- Family space: members, photos and folders of the space, kept as long as the space exists.
- Ephemeral device-to-device session: nothing is stored; received copies disappear when the page is closed.
Where the data is
Accounts and album index: Supabase [hosting region to be confirmed]. Photos: Supabase Storage, and Cloudflare R2 once enabled [region to be confirmed]. Website: Vercel. These providers act on Kliche’s behalf.
How long
- Albums and photos: 3 days after creation, or less if the creator deletes the album.
- Family space: as long as the space exists; a removed photo is deleted.
- Account: until it is deleted [account deletion procedure to be specified].
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or erase your data by writing to [contact email to be completed]. You can also contact the French data protection authority (CNIL).
Browser storage
The site keeps in your browser your sign-in session, your day or night theme, the look of your avatar and, for the lifetime of a tab, the code of an upload QR and the temporary addresses of photos already shown. No advertising cookies.
