Quality
Share your photos in original quality, without compressing them
A photo taken with a good phone, shared in a group chat, often comes back smaller and blurrier. Here is where the loss comes from, and how to share the group’s photos exactly as they were taken.
Where the quality loss comes from
To be fast and save space, many messaging apps shrink photos before sending them. WhatsApp, for example, sends them in standard quality by default; you have to pick “HD” for each send or change a setting. We compare the two in Kliche or WhatsApp.
What Kliche does
- JPEG, PNG and WebP go as they are, without recompression.
- iPhone HEIC files, which many devices struggle with, are converted to high-quality JPEG.
- The precise GPS position and device details are removed from the file; an approximate town is used for the filters and the map.
- The photo’s real size shows in the room, and “Keep the photos” gives the total weight before downloading everything.
Get everything at once
On a computer and Android, “Download all” gathers the photos in one ZIP file in original quality; on iPhone, they come in batches to save to Photos. A photo cropped or rotated in the room is saved as it is shown.
And on a big screen
Original quality shows most on a big screen. In TV mode, the photo shows alone, full screen, while everyone watches it at the same moment.
Your photos, just as you took them.
Create the album and send the link to the group.
